Duchy of Meliend - Fantasy map

Hey guys,

Here's a small personnal work. I updated my workshop to show my basic steps process on this kind of map. Original size is 6x10 and it's digitaly drawn in PS.

I like the map and the workshop from whence it came. The one odd thing that jumps out at me is the swash variant characters on the title font. The "e" in "the" and the "d" in "Meliend" bother my graphic designer sensibilities. The "f" in "of" a little less so. Especially since the odd kerning look is unnecessary--you've got swashless "e"s elsewhere in the title...

You're totally right here. I don't know where came that weird idea to add some swash letters at the end of each words. I fixed it

Well, i would not go so far as to say that i like it, it just no longer looks like green cow poop

On a more serious note - i really think you "helped" this style of forest to grow into something better. At least for my taste. So : well done!

Very gorgeous looking map . As others already pointed out, the style is very clean - but it's still detailed. I enjoy the color scheme very much as well. The little town icons are a nice touch too.
