Looks promising ! Sea monsters and coat of arms : you already have all my attention ! ^^
The backstory is as follows: This map depicts the continent of Ennaria, a few centuries after a huge rift started to open and large portions of land collapsed, drastically altering the geography of the place. New kingdoms emerged and a great empire began to shatter after prosperous lands disappeared or became useless, and the populations of the affected areas started a mass migration to escape the catastrophe. The rift continues to widen and threatens to swallow more land, and no one knows until when the earth will crumble.
I am not used to draw by hand, but since my computer is in the repair, I took this opportunity to try a hand-drawn map. So, the whole thing is very messy and dirty right now, but I think it will look better in my next posts.

It's looking very interesting. The Drowned Lands part it's a bit confusing, but I know it'll get better as you work on it. Love the dragon there!
My favorite part is your use of "placehold" throughout this first sketch. I had a laugh over here with Placeholder Kingdom and Coast of Placehold.
This looks like it's going to be an intricate map! I can't wait to see where it goes!

Thanks everyone for the comments!
Today I finished inking the lines and erased all the pencil drawing. I'll add all the text later digitally, hence all the "placeholder" names . I'm drawing the coat of arms separately to put later too.

Looking great, love it when landmass pokes over the borders a bit.
It's really nice to see the style of buildings changing over the map to show different cultures! Looks promising.
I started using colored pencils on the map, some of it came out nicely, some of it.... not so much. I am satisfied specially with the inland features. So now I am working on the colors in Photoshop. Here's a preview, I am not marking it as a WIP because I am using scans for the final map. Hopefully it will be finished by Friday
