Very nice cavern maps ReverendRover! Great entry to the Challenge, Welcome Aboard!
This sounded like a fun challenge and as a classic fantasy fan, the idea of realms existing beneath the earth always float my boat.
So here we go, The Lands Beneath The World, where dark things dwell. Starting off by setting out the landscape:

Looking good already
No real direction with where I'm going yet, just filling it all in as I go and sort of coming up with the lore behind it all. Which probably means I'll backtrack a fair bit, but here's what's down now

This is certainly looking a lot more structured than mine is right now. Though I thoroughly enjoy just 'going with the flow' on any given map, I do sometimes envy those who clearly have a pretty exacting plan of where they want to end up
I know what you mean, it'd be nice to have some direction occasionally
Aaand that concludes my mapping binge for the weekend, got a lot done that I can add to and change as the mood strikes me.
The theme that's developed in my head is a very fractious world that is now seeing a slow, creeping death called The Blight. Enjoying making this map, for sure and might just find a way to shoehorn it into my weekly campaign!

This is looking very good ReverndRover! I hate it when the Blight takes over my Underworld!! It's almost as bad as the Nothing.

Thanks Bogie. ALMOST as bad as the nothing, no swaps to swallow a horse though
As a kid, I believe that horse-eating swamp scene you mentioned tore me up every stinking time I saw it. That was quite a few times, as it was among my favorite movies (swamp scenes aside).
You know... I'm getting a little misty just thinking about that poor white horse again... {sniff!}
By the way, I love your map so far, ReverendRover! "Lo Orcrum" made me chuckle.
