Map (Commission) Les Troyaumes - Les Énigmes de l'Aube

    Hello there!

It's Been a long time and I'm proud to come back with a finished artwork!
Commissionned by french publisher Actusf for the second book of Thomas C. Durand's saga Les Énigmes de l'Aube, this project took about one year between the first rough and the two intense weeks of drawing to complete it.

Hope you'll like it, though I know it's the third map of this fantasy world I'm showcasing on this forum and some of you might get bored at it.
Also, the big badass digitally-painted one remains unfinished at this time, but I'll get back to it one day, I promise.

Great map. I like the border design, it complements the shape of the landmass well and makes the whole thing look really unique and interesting.

    Thanks a lot!
The initial idea was about shaping the frame as music instruent as music plays a great role in magic and this world.
I'd started working on a writing system, based on medieval neumes, in which words could be both read and/or played, but the timeframe wouldn't allow my musicologist friend to help me develop it. ^^ Maybe later.

Wow, that's a great composition. I really like the mountains, too.
