April 2022 Challenge: War of the Spheres

There was a warning read one day, in one of the Ruins of the Elementals. Though it is an ancient race with only their wondrous ruins dotting the land, that warning stayed with us. It read: When the great spheres of elements are risen under the banner of storms, a great war will come to the land. If darkness stand under each, it will engulf the world....
"What are you writing? It sounds grim." Rogan said from the back.
"Something is in the air, Rogan. I feel it in my guts. So, I am writing something I once read in the ruins."
"It's true, something does feel off. Let's head off, there is daylight still to use." Rogan said scratching the back of his head.
Seth nodded and packed his things. The cave a temporary shelter against the winds picking up along the coast.
As they headed out of the entrance, a great stretch of ocean met their gaze. The waves were getting bigger. Though, Seth just threw his bag on his shoulder, but their footsteps halted as a immense light fired up into air out of the ocean and a massive sphere of water lifted and started spinning over the bay.

Thanks! Glad to join. Still have to contend with my Sister's three little minions for a while(I love them to bits .), but after that I can start mapping in earnest.

So for today's post, I worked on the border a bit more. Still thinking if I should have the title text as "War of the Spheres" or something representing the Water Sphere.

Also, I thought an ancient mechanism where each sphere activated would start moving one of the gears would be a could part of the adventure.
It's a bit ambitious map. So. hopefully I can get done in time.

I feel much better about finishing on time now. Still a bunch to do, but some of the surrounding areas are solidifying.

There's some mysterious caves up north of the town. Which reminds me. Still have to name the town... Any ideas?
