Thread: February 2020 Challenge: The Skytrees of Karanaí

Default February 2020 Challenge: The Skytrees of Karanaí

This comes from a world I'm developing from my stories. Each tree was a single "tree-city", but a threat from the ground made the sorcerers of old days put them in the sky. There were 70+ in total, and some of them conjoined along the last two centuries to form larger cities. The ones I'm mapping form the greatest of them, Karanaí.

I'm trying an old book feel, possibly only black and white. I'm learning to use Krita and really liking it!

Thanks, everyone! I'm super excited to see this done — never tried this style and I'm really liking how it's coming along.

From here on I'll be adding the labels and drawing some highlight features of the cities. Still deciding how I'm doing that, though.

    I like the idea !

Your trees look very nice, they have a "comic book" vibe that I really enjoy.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final result.

    Thank you, arsheesh and Marc!

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to finish it to the challenge, but I'm planning to work on it in the future and post on the Finished Maps section.
