October 2020 Challenge: The Pumpkin Patch
Okay, I'm in for another battlemap. This time I'll be producing a rural scene of pumpkin growth.
Rumors have reached you ears of a mysterious wanderer and his acolytes, wandering from farm to farm looking for "a place that is right". Exactly what he is seeking is uncertain, but your investigation leads to a confrontation on a pumpkin field on All Hallows' Eve, where a small group is conducting a strange ritual.
So far, I have a farm soil and undergrowth background that should end up largely obscured and a pumpkin resized to huge, large, medium, and small sizes for populating the map. This was made from my own photo. Color adjustment on the stem (which was dry and drear) may be excessive, but it should fit the horror mood to have a bit too much vividness in the growth.

Oh snap! I have vines and leaves that may be suitable for this, I've just never shared them! Hang on, I'll get those into my thread

Off to a good start. Will be interesting to see where the leaves lead it.
I did not allow myself nearly enough time to work on the leaves. I threw in a trio of cultists, but there's a lot of work to do still before this is done.
