Help finding 1920's US City Street Maps or Accurate records.

As usual my interest is for assets in a pnp roleplaying game. I am trying to find high res images of actual street maps or high res reconstructions of the actual streets present in small US cities right around 1920. I found some absolutely beautiful maps over at http://www.davidrumsey.com/. But am having trouble finding anything for smaller cities.

I don't exactly need to have an image of a real map. Even a google maps, none google earth of course, style accurate reproduction or record would be great. Any resource anyone might be able to point me at would be great.

I'm looking for cities in more rural areas, preferably with a population under fifty thousand.

the best place would be the " Library of Congress "

everything on a usa.gov site should be free

i beet the they will have even AAA road maps from many years back
