Thread: Can I convert my hand-drawn map to a vector image?

Help Can I convert my hand-drawn map to a vector image?

I like to draw my maps by hand, but I've been thinking it would be nice to do things with it on a computer, specifically, I'd like to be able to zoom in indefinitely on my map to ad things like cities and other landmarks, just more detailed maps within the map. Essentially a "Google Map" of my map is what I'm imagining. I've already got my map scanned, but I think converting it to a vector image would allow me to do the work on it that I'm imagining. Does anyone have advice or a tutorial I could watch?
    Thanks!

Illustrator has a feature called "Image Trace" that works quite well with line art. There's a ton of tutorials out there on how to use it. Adobe has a good starter here.
