    Map The Kingdom of Tortall

A Christmas present map depicting the Kingdom of Tortall from the Protector of the Small series by Tamora Pierce. It's been a while since I've had the time/mental energy to properly get back into mapping, but this was a lot of fun. Recreations of existing worlds isn't something I've done much of before and, as always, any feedback is welcome!

All hand-drawn; started with a rough pencil plan before inking with Sakura fine-liners; 130gsm A4; December 2023

A lovely little map. I like the font choice and the overall clean style.

Nicely done! I haven't read the books, but a nice map always makes me want to check out a new series.

Nice and clean. I like the whole vibe. Would work really well in the front of a book across a bunch of formats, which is a big win.

(As someone who is primarily an ebook reader these days, I always look at maps and wonder how they'd translate to e-readers.)
