    Map Yanuma Stronghold

A map of a Stronghold from another age

    Yanuma_Stronghold_by_AbuLafia.png

Pen and watercolour on paper (14,8x21 cm)

It depicts the next location for a small Numenera scenario i'm puzzling together (the first is the "Bereth-Ahal Enclave" i posted earlier this year). It's heavily inspired by the marvelous works of John Stevenson, Miska Fredman and Jabba the Hutt
Although i planned not to spam the finished map thread with my smaller maps, i gotta say i'm particularly proud of this one and i decided to break the rule before i even established it properly.

Btw.: the area in the bottom-right corner is deliberately left empty to add a legend/key to it at a later date when i got the details of the scenario together.

Hope you enjoy it as much as i do,

    Cheers
    AL

EDIT: i forgot to say many thanks to MistyBeee and OldEarth for their helpful tips about the water in watercolour! ...i managed to paint that sea rather unpatchy ... although with only one brush for now

Wow, you're right to be proud of this one. It's absolutely gorgeous! Can't rep you again so soon, but this is actually my favorite of the watercolor pieces you've shown us so far. Great work Abu, you're nailing this!

    That's very cool Abu
The color and subdued feel remind me of old Heavy Metal imagery, which is sweet.

Honestly, if you asked me I'd probably tell you to spam away! I'm really enjoying your work! Your style and saturated and very clean and clear watercolours and line art is really, really great (and quite frankly and inspiration for me to strive toward)!

    Glad the tip helped!

A thousand thanks for the nice feedback everyone! I greatly appreciate it.
I think i have to tweak the colour settings of my scanner. Although i like the saturated tones of this scan too, the vibrancy of the colours from the original piece got a bit lost here.
