Wip August/September Challenge: Rethra - The Forgotten City

May I introduce the forgotten city Rethra.
For some centuries the slavic holy city ruled a large number of tribes. Then within less than 250 years it was completely destroyed and forgotten. Its not even known where exactly it was. Archeologist have been researching for some time now. Nothing was found.

    True story.

Once someone has started, others are following.
    its still some time left.

The shading is ink mixed with water and a brush of course.

I forgot to mention that due to some tectonic event, the waterlevel in the region rose quickly and eventually sank again. That makes the archeology work so difficult. But explains the different waterlines in the images.
