Jan/Feb '23 Lite Challenge: Welcome to the Weird and Wild West
Got bit by this idea earlier today and decided to give it a go. Gonna keep it nice and simple in terms of mapping kinda like an old school module. Mashing up Native American folklore/myth with European folklore/myth, and spicing it up with some Penny Dreadful flavoring. Got a story rattling around in my brain for an introduction and only a few days to crank this out. Wish me luck.

First batch of structures in place now. Includes boarding/loading platforms, a ticket station, the Rail Master's office, post office, post master's office, a telegraph office, a cafe, and a feed supply warehouse. Still have a couple dozen structures to add in. Of going to include interior details unless time permits though.

More structures (tedious work) and a proper title for the town. Maybe a bit more drawing work tonight and tomorrow afternoon/night to finish up the map portion, then an hour or three of writing/editing to introduce the characters to the adventure.

Making good progress!

So not as much time to work on this last night as I had hoped. Finished laying out all the structures now, but need to add in a few visible doors and steps. Ideas is that each structure would also have its own detailed map and description on the "following pages," with this being a map of what the characters initially see. Gonna add labels and work out the introductory text over the next hour or so and, hopefully get it posted before Mr. B locks the threads.

Okay, gonna call this finished. Kinda wish I had gotten started on this earlier and had a bit more time to plan things a little better. Not gonna say I am upset about it though. For just a few days work and only the barest hint of a plan, still got it done. Might have to revisit this at some point though. Kinda had fun with the base idea behind this "adventure."
