Thread: Earthsea Map

    Map Earthsea Map

    Hi!
Here's a new map inspired by the world of Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin
I wanted to try something new with this one starting from the spherical shape of the map. I have chosen to use just blue ink ( actually a colour I obtained from blue and green) to give the map a marine feeling.
I also wanted the map to resemble a mirror...so that you have to cross the mirror to live Ged's adventures

I know I probably had too much fun with this map!

There is also golden and bronze ink on the border but unfortunately it got lost during the scanning process
(I guess the only people that will see it would be me and the person who bought it)

    Have fun!

The Wizard of Earthsea is possibly the very first fantasy book I ever read, and I love that you have drawn one of your beautiful maps of Ursula's world

The map is pretty simple yet very beautiful. The frame intricate as always. Briliant idea with the spherical mirror.

As always, a really really reeeaaally beautiful frame! The map itself is too tiny to see anything. Any chance for a higher resolution so that we can see the map itself? That'd be awesome

Agreed, it's lovely but the map itself is too small to make out.

Thank you Eilathen and Robulous! Unfortunately I've found out too many times about my works illegaly sold on the internet so I decided to upload only low resolution versions of my maps. I know it's a shame but it's the only way to protect my work

Such an awesome map, it shows exactly what you describe. It is like a mirror/porthole into a marine world.

Grrr, damn them ! Your decision is perfectly understandable and understood .
Splendid map & frame (as usual) and a very creative layout as well. Great map!
