Amazing, just amazing. Great style and representation!
I had originally hoped to put all my Middle Earth maps together in one post but have since realized that it's going to take considerably more time to complete those with my current workload. So I decided to put up those that are done.
That includes Mordor, Gondor and Rhovanion. You can see the progress and other stuff over on the wip thread - http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...ad.php?t=30712
Thanks to all who commented and offered advice along the way with those wips.
In time I will get back to finishing Moria and Eriador and then the big map. Cheers.

These are wonderful J. The simple color palette, the interplay between simple lines and shaded contours and the hand drawn title all work very well together. I wish I could rep you but I'm tapped atm, so I had to simply rate the thread. Very nice work indeed, you've got a very distinctive style that shines through all your work.

Thanks Barek.
Thank you Arsheesh.
No worries. That comment is more than enough.

Breathtaking. This style is really convincing and fits the theme very well. I especially like the Mordor one, it feels very "Tolkien" to me, but done in a contemporary style (apart from the title – that's definitely not Tolkien :p). I hope you get a chance to pursue this style some more, because I for one would love to see more maps like these

Well, already told you, the maps and the style are just excellent. Keep on going
I agree with everyone, those maps are really excellent and very evocative. Please keep them coming!

Great ones. The style is really peaceful.
Beautiful maps!
I love these, and I'm happy to see them again. I hope you can get onto the remaining ones soon.
I know I said it before in the WIP thread, but I have to mention it again. Those mountains ... the texture ... it's utterly fantastic! I just want to touch them. (I hope I don't sound like some sort of weirdo mountain groper!!)
Can't rep you unfortunately. I'll save it up for the next one.
