    Wip WIP - Fantasy Map

    Hello!
Here we are again with a new map, I thought I should try and more colorful approach this time around. I don't have a name for it yet but the random name generator has proven useful this far, so soon enough it shall be named!

I quite like how it turned out, I still have a few kinks here and there to sort out though. The trouble with these more painterly maps are that they potentially take so much more time to finish. I'm trying to figure out how to speed things up and not having to paint every corner of every tree etc.
I need to make 3 more heraldry shields and sort out the borders still, but that will be for tomorrow.

A fresh pair of eyes or two would be great, so whatever you see that needs improving is welcome!

    Thanks for looking!

    Very nice!
I think the color is great, and the icons are easy to read. I don't know if the boarder quite fits... But, the styling of special places, and typography fits very well.

I think it's more that a great start, I would say close to being finished, good job!

    Hey, thanks!
I agree with the border, I did not like it at all. I made it simpler as I just didn't have the energy at the moment to do it any justice in it's previous form.
The paper texture might be a bit overpowering still, I'm not sure though, what do you think?

The paper looks fine to me.

I have two concerns about the paper: the paper texture doesn't show through anywhere else on the page and the white of the icy northern areas is very much different than the base page color. Both of these can be easily explained by having a thick underpainting over the main map area, but I would have expected to see that carried out to the edge of the page rather than just the central area.
