Welcome Aboard!
Well, I'm new here, and here's my first post.
Compared to most of the others I'm seeing here, I'm not particularly geeky; I'm an expat from Texas living in Brazil and working as a sociologist and language professor (English, Spanish, and Portugese). I've always been drawing, painting, and designing. Mapmaking is no different; it's the designing and drawing that attracted me.
Just to give an idea, here's one of my current projects. Please excuse the low quality; they're still only thumbnails. The idea is a crossover between Classic Battletech and the World of Darkness games (specifically, Vampire and Werewolf): the Worlds of Darkness. A world where Tremere inside of Comstar decide to do a trial run of Operation Holy Shroud. The world not only loses it's tech base, it falls to Medieval levels, to the point that Magic and Monsters return to the world. Mechs and magic and monsters oh my!

Welcome. Nice start Lucho, Good seeing new people getting stuck right in. Its the fact that this site has a lot of do'ers is why I like it so much.
There's a members map (link in my sig) with few Brazilians already on it.
Welcome to the Guild!

Welcome to the guild, Lucho...what software are you using to create those maps? I like the ocean texture.
Thanks for the welcome; I fully intend to be a productive member here; Lord knows I need the guidance
Actually, that's something I was going to ask of the forums: I use the app from the fractal planet generator. It's not so new; if anybody is interested I'll post the site of the creator. He doesn't seem so interested in maintaining the sitewhat software are you using to create those maps? I like the ocean texture.
