Looks good so far, and really only the second attempt at a railway themed map that I know of.

Hi there,
this is actually my first post here here. I found this forum by chance and it catched my interest. This is one of my first attemps of making a encounter map with GIMP and textures from CG Textures. It is a bit empty though, could use some telegraph poles, signals, water tanks or whatever. I am working on it.

Looks good so far. Just that water tank, telegraph poles, and a loading/unloading platform for people to get on and off.

Added some detail today. But still no telegraph poles. I just don't have any idea how to do them. But i could use some retro style pickup for this map. Unfortunaly RPG Map Share has nothing like that.
Check the Dundjinni forums - you may find what you need, or if nothing else some inspiration.

But, knowing poles as I do, they are not 100% accurate.
The poles do NOT look like:

In other words, the cross spar is placed against the pole, not through the pole.
