Nov / Dec 2015 Lite Challenge: Map somewhere you have been.
For this month's challenge I would like you to make a map of a location you have been to, a real world place.
Now if you post a map of Mars, I am going to need documentation-proof.
This could be something as basic as your own house, your town or state or it could be that castle on the coast of Scotland that you visited as a kid, or as unique as the shipwreck you saw scuba diving in Tahiti. Think of someplace that sparked your imagination.
The Challenge will run until the 14th of December (more or less) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Shiny Silver Compass.
As usual, title your threads: Nov / Dec 2015 Lite Challenge: << your title here >>
Don't forget to put the hashtag ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map.
And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.
Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished.
And please remember to keep this fun, while we do run it as a contest, with voting and an award, the purpose of the challenge is to simulate a commission with a deadline and to push ourselves to develop new skills.

Plenty of pics on the internet to refresh your memory of Rome.
Not sure that I'll do a Scottish castle. Maybe an island.

So, ahem, will you be archiving last month's threads, so that we can get started on the new challenge?

Just done it for Bogie
Thanks, Max

I think this is a great idea. I might be able to jump in if I find the time.
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.
Hope you manage to join in, foremost.

Thanks Max, I have been mostly offline for the past 5 days, won't really be back until late tonight or tomorrow.
