Hah, I really like those trees.
The Estuary Police are not overly unhappy, either, but there is some variation between water textures in the river & bay. I think you escape with a warning instead of a ticket or incarceration.
This is what I have so far for my second map, any suggestions? I think I might make the bridge a bit bigger and add texture to the docks.

Venus Public Transit, Map Of Ceres, Jack Vance's Ports Of Call & Lurulu ... why do I only have 3 maps here?
Yah I thought someone would notice that, just wasnt sure if I should change it or not.

Any comments on the roads anybody?

So I am assuming correctly then that the roads look fine in comparison to those in my last map, right?(Ascension, Immolate, anyone)??

Somewhat better... I think following the shore or parallel to the shore would be better, but yes, this is better than your previous map as far as roads go.
Since you're a new guy, you don't know, but this thread should really belong in the WIP Forums (beneath the Challenge Forum). WIP is work-in-progress, as this map you're now working on now happens to be.
Perhaps a CL will move the thread into the City/Town WIP forum where it belongs.
Somewhere on this site is a link to an RPG City Map Generator - I don't mean to say use it to map a village for you, rather let it place roads and buildings where they make more sense. Let me see if I can find the link... (I'll edit this post and place the link here, if I find it.)
Here follow this link and download this application. It has some variables you can change, but then let it generate a city plan for you. Since town layout is random, you may have to let it generate different versions until its close to what you want. Of course you may want to tweak the random layout created to better match what you want. But it may be a great help to give it a try!

Be patient eabrek, we're not here 24/7...I just got home from work. I think the roads still look oriented to the edges of the page and not the lake...they should be curving around the lake. You've the general idea right with the roads conforming to the river though.

As for the random city map generator, I cannot get the website to come up. It comes up for a few seconds, then gives me a message saying, "This website cannot be found". If you could repost the link or post a different one that would be great. I'll try and find it myself too.
