    Wip Regional Maps of Asdar

These are screen shots of the Asdar map, focusing on the Pallathantic and Barathorn regions. I believe this is the correct place to post these. I'm new, so I may be mistaken. I am always working on this map in my free time. It is an ongoing work, always changing and increasing in detail. I wish it had the beautiful detailing that so many maps on this site have, but it is rather plain in that regard. I make other maps, but this is my favorite mapping project. Feedback is welcome.

The Asdar Map is a Freehand Document. This is my first post with the eastern hemisphere of Asdar

    Pallathantic
The Pallathantic Sea reaches east west and is a major sea highway for many populous nations.

    Pytharnia and Jaggudorns
Pytharnia is a subcontinent that flows into the greater continent of Asdauria. Where the two meet rise the enormous Jaggudorns, the highest mountains of the world of Asdar, comparable to the Himalayas.

    Ithatian Isles
These islands are in the Pallathantic Sea. This close-up shows the detail of the islands and the various place-names.

Those are great. You can really tell they're a labor of love based on all the detailed work you've put into them.

What's the significance of the scale bars everywhere?

    Post Scale Bars

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, the rulers should have been turned off. They're on their own layer, so I could have done that. The map is meant to be functional, so I like to be able to see the distances.

It could be snuck into a school atlas and no one would be the wiser. It looks authentic and has such great angled labels, look genuine earth but is fantastic fantasy!

Looking fantastic! Out of curiosity, how huge is the work file?

I quite like what you've done here so far. It feels like a modern looking map. What is the world like in terms of technology and such?

The technology varies over a period of 15,000 of its years which is what I have outlined. At the beginning of that period, the technology is much more advanced than earth's present technology, with a great energized sphere set in place around the world to protect from radiation and hostile invaders. At the lowest point during that period, it's about copper-age technology. At the end of that period or 'modern' times, the technology is roughly comparable to early 1900's, but operates differently.
