Nice map. Style and some names remind me on "a song of ice and fire". But that style is pretty fine!

Hello, everyone. I'm pretty new here, but I've been skimming through the tutorial threads and I've learned quite a lot. Thank-you to everyone who worked hard to help others like myself, it's much appreciated.
Anyways, this is the map that I've been working on. It's for a Viking-esque / medieval / fantasy RPG setting that I've been working on for a long time. This is just one of three maps that I plan on making. All of them will connect, but it will be a simpler map. This map is a "detail" of the western half of the world. Comments and critique more than welcomed (just go easy on me, I'm brand new at this!).
Everything but the text and border was hand drawn with a .05 Ink Pen on an 8" x 11.5" Copy Paper.

Thanks! The Song of Ice and Fire map was definitely a huge inspiration, I love those books so far (only on Clash of Kings). My setting is not really in the same era as ASOIAF, but I think people can relate to these names more than what I was originally thinking of doing (Gaelic, Germanic, Norse, etc...). Thanks, again, Quabbe.
Looking good so far.

Nice first effort. I have seen worse maps in published books.
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go..
Looks nice, don't like the border tho... I think the map would look a lot better without it.
Really nice first map and I second the notion on the borders.
Thanks for the kind words. So the border is throwing it off? I'm not sure if I really like it either, it just seemed like it was missing something. I'll take it off and see how I like it.
I added the newer version. I felt like it still needed a border, though.
Comments and critique welcomed!
Yeah it still needs a border but if you could put a border that looks nice it would be perfect. But of course all of that is just personal preference so don't really take it seriously.
