This will be a sort of post-apocalyptic Greek-ish setting, where various city-states are rebuilding, fighting amongst themselves and against the horrors of the Western Wastes.

The shield designs are not mine; they're all over Pinterest, but I can't track down a source. I think they might be from one of the Assassin's Creed games though.

i realy enjoy the patterns you guys use on maps. i need to learn more about that.

You mean the mountains? If you have photoshop, it's really just playing around with Clouds, Difference Clouds, and Bevel/Emboss. There's some good tutorials on here, especially the ones Ascension posted back in the day.

Here's some labelling done, always the most time-consuming part of a map for me. I'll probably recycle some names from older maps, but I'll try to mostly avoid that.

haha, I was looking through the challenge thumbs first not knowing who has entered this month's challenge so far and I thought, this is probably Diamond, and yup it was yours. This is coming along really well. And the corner art is striking. Love it.
