Frozen North Map for the World of Midgard
I finished this over Christmas for the world of Midgard. It's a new style for the Open Design maps and was one of the first of the new maps created since the launch of the full blown world project. The rest of the regional maps for Open Design will be in this style.

Wow! Now that is just lovely. In fact, I am currently working on a map of "the frozen north" in my world and am quite envious at how well you are able to capture the icy look on your map, where all of my efforts have met with failure. But in any event, congratulations on another masterpiece.

This is really beautiful. I love the mountains, they look realistic and stylish at the same time. So much better than Tolkien's. I also love the burst coming out of Tannasgard. Is that a particularly important area or something?

Tannasgard was just a convenient location to hide the center of the burst. They're lines for taking N,S,E,W bearings from.

Excellent work Torstan - I like how you differentiated the trees in the North from those in the South capturing the snow covered look.
