Default November 2016 Challenge: Riddlestone Dungeon

Wow, am I the first entry?

I'm drawing this all in pen, one part are a time.

There are already two fire traps. Can you tell they're fire, and does anyone have ideas for more complicated traps?

Because I decided to draw it as I roll, it might not be as ordered as something planned out, but o think it will be cool.

The Crucible is more than a little scary...

Thank you... I'm still not sure how you're supposed to get around it, of anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear

You could have a wooden bridge, painted with different squares, and if you step on the wrong square, jets of fire shoot out of the crucible and burn away part of the bridge.

Or maybe Ninja Warrior type rings or bars that you have to swing across on.

Holy moly! Also it reminds me of Dwarf Fortress, which is never a bad thing.

OK, just a little more work on the lower caves. All sorts of creatures live in the tunnels, and the six keystones are guarded there.

Thank you Abu. Till I saw your entry, I pretty much thought I was going to have this one in the bag... should have known better. 😃
Can I ask, are you named after a famous Abulafia? Like maybe Abraham Abulafia?

Haha, yeah i know this feeling... usually short time after i think something like this, someone shows up and blows my (and other potential voters') mind away with her/his entry But, your still in the process and the month is still long. It's all about pushing each other to the limits and having a fun challenge.

Actually, you are the first person asking for the name. My real name is Martin and the username is indeed inspired by the famous Abraham Abulafia (and not a jihadi "nom de guerre", as some might think...). In fact, many years ago at a small LAN event, i needed a name for my PC. At the time, i read Umberto Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum" where one of the protagonists was doing gematric calculations with a PC he fittingly called "Abulafia", so i thought it was a nice idea for a name and stuck with it since that day. Well... now the mystery is unveiled... How comes you know about Abulafia?

    Cheers,
    AL
