Salza and Salzerhaven Town-Map

It has been too long, guys! So proud to be able to share this! Maybe soon another if I get the OK. *excited* =)

I'm very happy with this one, depicting the parted city of Salza and Salzerhaven for the 'Dark Eye'-Universe on the continent Aventurien. Love the vivid colors in this one, contrasting the gloomy next map I am doing at the moment. There has been a VERY rough thing from years ago, the cartographer for this sketch hasn't named himself - but this was the starting point for this. In this universe you rarely have the liberty to do just what you want, as long it is logical. This was one of those rare cases I loved to do and develop the city naturally. Soon to be published I guess =)

Great work Steffen! I like the idea of a shared legend in the middle. What are those turqoise-blue dots all around the cities? Wells?
PS: Ich hätte drauf gewettet, es gäbe schon seit langem eine Karte von Salza/Salzahafen, naja wie man sich irren kann!

Yes, those are some wells. I also liked it when I made the first layout. Seems readable and intuitive if you see the left-aligned text means the left and the right-aligned text the right =)

Excellent map, Steffen! Did you draw all house shapes by hand or did you use the vector tools in Photoshop?

That is one of the most appealing city maps I've yet seen here. You're right, the colors are great and the map key is beautiful. My only nitpick would be that at first glance it seems like one continuous map. The river segments don't align, sure, but what if you had a little more space in between the two maps?
