Discuss Mapping the same world with different projections

Hi all! I'm pretty new to map-making and wanted to discuss some things. Let's say I have a world map of my TableTop RPG's campaign world and it's done in the same way as a mercator projection for a real world map for navigational purposes. Now let's say I want a second world map that's equal-area (maybe a Mollweide projection), is there an easy way to go about re-mapping from one projection to another (not just mercator to mollweide, for various lore reasons I might like to include other views for different reasons). Are there any tools for this, and if not what sort of process would I go through to make sure my world stays consistent from projection to projection?

    Thanks!

    there are many tools

ranging from mostly accurate to REALLY scientifically accurate

one tool i use is a command line tool called " MMPS "
    http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~arcus/mmps/

on the "REALLY scientifically accurate" end is GDAL
    https://www.gdal.org/

and the Gis program that uses it QGis ( think of it as having a GUI for using GDAL )
    https://qgis.org

in the middle one can use "wilbur" to remap
