Default First map - Free Marshes

This is the first map i've made, for a D&D adventure campaing with my friend's. I would like to recieve some feedbacks about my map. First i tryed to create a painted map like, but i found dificult on blending colours. Then i've decided to do a texture map like, mixed with some brushes.

I have used some brushes like and textures, all made on PS using tutorials attempts from this forum. Sorry for my english.

Hey, Great start! I recommend changing the cities and trees and other features so that they look like they are on top of the rivers. Right now having rivers on top of / cutting through town buildings and trees looks unnatural. Nice border

I think the river police are going to be on your case. You've got five rivers running from one small lake to the sea. It's highly improbable that one of those routes won't be a tiny bit lower than the rest. Water being water, as soon as that happens, the other four branches will dry up.

Of course, this is a marsh, so it's probably a delta. https://www.google.ca/maps/@71.12347....8291423,8.75z

I believe that is a delta. I don't know about those small ones branching off and just stopping though.. Pretty nice job either way!

Yes, indeed I tried to do a Delta. I've made those small branches trying to reesemble this http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/7f8c11eb65...the-crakf8.jpg .

But i think isn't necessary in a Delta.

    Thanks.

the image you used is a glacial run off
    a rather SMALL scale

have a look at the Mississippi Delta and the Nile delta

this HUGE area is needed for the water collection in the Ol'miss
