Map World of Crol Map - Private Commission

Here are the finished versions of a privately commissioned world map for a home D&D campaign. The job was to do the map in B&W, but the client was so fantastic that I presented these finals, one in grayscale and the other with a little color splashed on.

I'm always trying to improve, so as usual, feedback is welcome!

The border and compass rose come courtesy of Deven Rue.

Oh ! I love the map with colors ! It seems a bit "floating over the sea", but I really like the details, the ideas and the fine lineart

    Thanks, friends!

I'm glad you mentioned the "floating on the sea" aspect... it was actually intentional (and sort of hard to figure out how to do!) as the primary means of travel in the world is airship. I actually removed a bunch of work I'd done on the coast for this reason.

There's a sort of theme running through the client's world of, I guess, "floating above." It looked a bit weird to me as I was doing it... still does... but I think it helps reinforce that theme a bit more subtly than Castle On Floating Island.

    Thanks again for the feedback!

There's some really wonderful mountain drawing going on here.

    Nicely drawn, whipstache
