Looking to get this remastered into a digital artwork. Will need two versions, as this will be used for 2 things.
Top down, visible differences in 'biomes', shows features such as waterfalls and cliff sides.
Need a quote on what it would cost for each of these:

1st Version: Sending to an artist who is going to use the digital image as a guide in a 3D Program to make into a usable map for a video game. Needs to be as "natural looking" as possible with river placements and coasts.

2nd Version: An aesthetically pleasing visual for players, of said game, to look at and use as a reference when navigating the landscape.

Sidenote: I am very new to this, this is the first map I have ever drawn. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Deus, I might be interested in the project. I like your map; it's clear and points out exactly what it needs to, in terms of geographical biomes and also including what I suppose are major locations and the roads between them. For the commission, it would be good to have a few more details, including any example styles for the "natural looking" piece, along with the required final size of the project.

I've linked a couple of recent examples of my work below:

You can't use the PM system at the moment as I believe you need 5 posts, but if you're interested you can email me at gregoryshipp22 (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk, just obviously replacing the antispambot brackets and we can discuss more details there.

Hi DuesTheOx, as GLS comments above, you can't use the Guild's messaging system till you've made five posts (an anti-spam measure). Therefore you'll have to provide an email address so that our members can contact you.

I hope you're able to find someone to work with.

the easiest way to do that IS to make a 3d environment first
by making a HeightMap and texturing that height map

the best work flow is to START with a height map with rivers and all that
    then texture the heightmap

it sounds like you are doing things backwards on that

I am not sure that having the 3D map will be the easiest, or the first step? Unless I misunderstand what you mean.

How is the 3D artist who is making the landscape supposed to know where forests/lakes/rivers/mountains/etc etc etc are going to go... without a map? How is he supposed to know where cliffs are, or valleys, or a tall mountain vs a short mountain go... without some sort of map?
The hand drawn map is a rough, I need it more detailed and remastered. Then, I will give that map to the 3D artist who will use it to build the actual 3D, usable, explorable world.

    as an example
this height map ( working on it this afternoon )
8 bit copy of the 32 bit floating point image

    renders in 3d like this

now making a matching color texture from the heightmap WILL take time

but you get this ( different example)

having a texture and heightmap match really is needed in 3d work
otherwise things will not line up

the image you posted in the first post is MORE than enough for a height map to be made

then a texture FROM the heightmap can be done
