It seems odd to say welcome to you now, Colin, when you've been here for so long and become such an ingrained member of the Guild--but what the hey: welcome!!!! We're so glad you're here!
Hello folks, Su Liam here! My real name is Colin, but I took my screen name from a science fiction story I never finished writing. Okay, I'm a, "he," and Su Liam is a, "she," but I also don't have thirty-six arms and legs, so... hey...
Umm, okay. Sorry. Hit the post button by accident.
That's my ruggedly handsome face on the avatar. Getting ruggeder all the time, but not handsomer.
I don't have a gaming group or even a significant writing project in need of maps at the moment, so I'm using this opportunity to hone and create skills which may serve me in the future. I'm looking to go back to school for a geography degree focussed on cartography/GIS if I can get financial issues in order. I figure a job in that sort of field will allow me to hone my skills while making money.
I've learned a lot from Ravells, Palehorse, the Robs and many of the other folks on this site. I believe even my toy maps have been greatly improved since I started looking at this site. Hopefully, I can give back as I learn more.
Thank you all for your input into this excellent site.
