    Hello Cartographers Guild!

I've been a silent observer and reader of the work y'all do for years now, but never posted anything. I've used lots of your tutorials in some of my own hobby-work. But I'm joining up now because I'm doing a bigger project than I've done in the past, and so I figured it might be good to be able to get some advice/input. Glad to be here!

Oh, and I guess I'm supposed to talk about myself. I'm an economist by training, specialties in agricultural train and population geography. So if anybody needs expert advice on a setting's agricultural technology and patterns, or on making maximally realistic (or creatively unrealistic) populations for their maps, that's kinda my stock in trade professionally. I also run a Podcast about the history of migration in the US, and am a lifelong pen-and-paper RPG guy, mostly homebrew, but the occasional D&D campaign too. My previous projects have all been focused on games, but my current project is not, and is a far more elaborate world-building project that I think will stretch my current cartographic skills.

Hi, and welcome to the Guild. Thanks for venturing out of lurkdom and introducing yourself!

Looking forward to seeing some of your project, so feel free to start a thread in one of the mapmaking folders and I'm sure you'll get some advice as you work on it.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

I've started a WIP thread I think in the correct location here.
