She's a real beauty, thomrey
I think I repped you on the WIP thread
A few month ago, I started working on a map based on an ultrasound of my not-yet-born baby to make an original birth announcement card. I took inspiration in Alyssa McFadden's map that you can see here.
My baby girl, Alice, was born on the 12th of February, the day before my birthday, that's quite a present ! Her mother, Olivia, gave birth ideally like the strong woman she is and our daughter is beautiful, strong and very alert, a bundle of joy already smiling at his conquered dad when she was only two weeks old (ok, I'm not very impartial here).
Here's the finished map. Feel free to comment, critic or whatever Working on such a personal project pushed me to give the best I could and I learned a lot through the process. Many thanks to all those who kindly helped me with their propositions, they were greatly appreciated
You can find the WIP here.

A lovely idea and the map is nicely done Thomas !
Beautiful! Not only in its result but also its inspiration as well! A really wonderful map and what a great way to celabrate a new life. Congratulations on your new baby girl!
Beautiful work on this Thomas! I especially like the way you've done the forests and shallow waters. I'm sure Alice will we proud of this when she grows up!
Thanks a lot Mouse. As you've said it, I might have terraced my forest foe ... for now
Thanks a lot Maxime Your maps were quite inspirational for this one.
Thanks a lot Domino. The map is by far less beautiful than the baby girl
Thanks Daniel ! I've got Arsheesh maps to thank for the waters and Wired ones for the forests. That's the strength of the Guild, we feed each others creativity with our works An I hope she'll like it.
Splendid work Thom. Your last touches to the land are outstanding.
Very nice work thomrey. I'd say this is the ultimate 'treasure map' as it is a map of treasure rather than a path to it
May your treasure bring you a lifetime of joy so you don't mind having forever empty pockets
Sorry can't rep you right now, great job on this, love the idea, looks like she has a very strong backbone. Congrates on the birth, I have two daughters who stole my heart. You'll have many great year, best thing that can happen to you, especially those years when dad can do no wrong .
