That is cool.
Is there somewhere you described how you did that? I'm curious.
Hey folks,
In the run-up to my Schleyscapes project I wound up playing with the Instagram site's interface and created an explorable map "trailer" for the RPG supplement.
Visit here - Schleyscapes Instagram Adventure
Make sure to click around and follow the arrows and profile links that pop up. Who knows what you'll find hidden in The Forlorn Cottage.
What really interests me, and something that I'll be playing with more in the future, is the potential for the Instagram UI to act as a branching story tree and navigation path. You can create fully immersive choose-your-own-adventure/route style storytelling in what is otherwise a static social media platform.
Let me know what you think.

that is insane, so fun and great style!
How long did it take to draw it? Any tips or tricks?

Thanks for the kind words! The actual map was made as part of my new Schleyscapes RPG supplement. I simply cut the battlemap up posted the tiles individually. I then added the text, Easter eggs and separate Instagram profiles for the areas like the cellar, kitchen, stables, & bedroom with arrows added for visual navigation reference.
You can embed profile links that act as portals from one place to another or that can take the player to a separate Instagram page. This creates a system for developing an interactive and immensely expandable tiled map.

The actual map in Schleyscapes is much larger than what you see here. The whole project took a couple of months along with illustration, writing, & design work. You can see more of it here - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...venture-series

fun idea - seems like great work. I remember doing stuff like that in old-school HTML back in the days ... not to mention, text-adventures in BASIC LOL
