    Default City of Cade (Commission)

Hi all! This is one of my first city map commissions which I started a few months back. It has been mostly finished for a while now and I have been waiting for names from a client.
If you'd like to see the steps you can read the WIP thread.
    Drawn in photoshop.

Let me know what you think!

I really can't remember if I repped this one before, Josiah, but it certainly deserves it, so I'll rep it now

I really like the way you did the buildings and roads on this map.

That's awesome, Josiah! I especially like the painted style of the sea and countryside.

Sorry can't rep you now, beautiful job, lovely color, nice treatment of type, love the compass, another great piece, like the hillside shading too!

Wow very impressive the locations of the different city sects make perfect sense, the surrounding farmland and hills really bring it together. I would love to know the style you are going for (medieval, Ancient Greek/Roman, etc).

    A Reputation Worthy Map!

I'm sure (or I hope) that the commissioner is happy. This is a map that balances really well plausibility, so we look at it and believe it's an actual location, with fantasy, so we get the imagination immediately spinning off.

I think you handled the geography of the place with distinction. My favorite aspects are color and the agricultural fields. On the downside, it lacks a scale - how long are those wooden bridges - a stone throw?

A beautiful map! The relief is very well done. I love the islands and bridges ... many details ... we would almost like a better resolution to be able to admire them all. Congratulations!

Awesome city map. Those long briges must be quite a view for a people crossing them.

Fantastic work, Josiah . Everything is very consistent and well done. I particularly like the way you handled the labels, bridges and the sea.
