Hi, I'm a new member and I'm almost a newbie in mapmaking and designing maps.

I've been interested in cartography since 2012, the first time I saw a fantasy map in the first book of the Inheritance Cycle.

Nowadays, I'm interested in plausible world maps, and Renaissance fortifications (design and placement).

So far, I've done a city map that was lost within the depths of my computer's memory, a Risk style map of the pre-columbian Tenochtitlan, a project of a regional plausible map (still developing it) and some renaissance forts.

I have some experience with GIMP2 and Sketchup. However I prefer to use compass, square, bevel, pencil and paper.

I don't have Facebook nor Twitter, I don't like to sell my personal data for free, so it's not probable to find me there. I have a DeviantArt account, if you want to see some of my works.

From here on, I'm going under the username 4maram.
