Thanks everyone! I guess it is fine, then .

And except (maybe) for some refinements, the shaded relief of the north part of the map is done.

I'll try to post a global view with the inset later or tomorrow.

This look quite nice, the shadows really pop it. I think once you have all the shadows done, you might want to go back in and deepen a few areas that might be a little more in deeper shade. I typically have two layers of shadows, the base and then as I've noted. I typically get carried away with the topo lines, but I think you've found a nice balance. One thing I generally don't have is one topo outline in an area, just didt seem right to me, but that's just me. It looks really nice and your line weights are great! Looking forward to seeing this evolve.

Do you have some particular places in mind?

I did all the shading (I suppose). I plan to do this kind of -not original at all- layout... I'm wondering if I should do the inset map with the same kind of shading or keep the wilbur thing.

Humf... I'm still hesitating a lot about doing the inset map the same way. I've done an unfinished test.

Or the old one is better?

Those are both incredible! I've nothing to add, but since I can't give you rep again so soon, I wanted to at least comment and say "well done". I personally like the colored version, but both of them are beautiful.

I'm with Hustle on the coloured version, but I'll add that the main map also needs a bit of colour in it, though not as much. Maybe about half? I dunno either! LOL!

I'm loving this new relief style of yours
