    Thanks once more everyone!

As for being too cluttered, I'm not sure. I guess you'd have to sketch it out roughly, maybe on another page even and cut it out to set in place.

But of course, it's a lot more work and you've already done an amazing and time-consuming job illustrating the port
I really do not want to risk messing anything up on the map at this point (for some reason?) so I will be doing it on a separate page. I can try seeing how it looks in the center there but I think I will instead put a small travel journal or something like that on the side of the map. This would allow me to put some backstory with the map as well and have the map be a 'quick handdrawn sketch', if such a thing exists . It would then look more like the traveler sketched the city top down and would not be as time consuming to draw and fit the theme a bit more.

Or an idea that just came to me is have this look like a postcard (with this image being the front) and have the back of the postcard next to it... that needs a bit more thinking...

In any case though, another WIP.

Ok. Slightly different WIP this time. I am continuing with the postcard idea. In doing so I will add a thin black outline to the previous drawing to help give a border impression.
This next image is the postcard itself. I will put it on the bottom left corner of the map, hanging off the side a bit. I may just cut the map short where it hangs off or I may put a wooden background, I don't yet know. The background might be a bit beyond my skill capabilities technically so we shall see!

So here is my entry. It took a while to get the contrast on my scanner to not completely ignore my lighter colors (still did it on the card but, oh well I guess ) but this I think is my finished product.

The png was too large for the forum so I guess a jpg will have to do

Very impressive. I think including the smaller map was a really good idea. Well done!
