Default February 2014 Entry: The Forest of Guildheart

    Hey Guys,

Well, I've never entered the challenge before, so now is as good a time as any! I'm aiming to do a sort of wilderness map (basically a town map but without a town) depicting an enchanted forest with plenty of references to the Guild.

Here's the first stage (very basic)!

Another quick update for now. Just added some elevation and texture to the ground.

Alright, I think I'm all done. It's quite a departure from the two working images above. I was going for an "elven forest" vibe and wanted to do a play on this forum and forums in general with the map labels. Let me know what you think!

In fact, here's the final final map! Needed to add a touch of texture to the ground (barely visible, but it makes me happier ).

Nice work! I especially like the lake looking like it's almost glowing. I think it suits the name "Pool of Reflection".

Very colorful. I'm thinking gum drop trees.
