Default January 2015 challenge: The village by the sea

So I decided to join in on this months challenge. Hopefully I can finish the maps as well. I'm working on a village style so I thought I could use that for this months challenge. I hope to finish this map tomorrow, but this is as far as I am now.

Here is an update of my village map. Remade all the hills and ground terrain and added shadows. I see if I have time tomorrow to do some small updates, adding a legend ans scale. If not this will be the finished version for the challenge.

Ooh, that's nice. I like the simple and attractive interplay between contour and shadow.

And here two minutes to midnight a final update of the map. Not much more to say, more than welcome to Templehill

I should have been more specific, I'll be closing the thread close to midnight pacific standard time, so you still have plenty of time, if you want to keep working on this..

    Cheers,
