Thread: Ancient road

    Default Ancient road

An ancient civilisations road lead to a rivertown. Near the road are the ruins of the bygone cuorier-stations.

Your maps are very clear information wise. The transparency technique you use on the road doesn't fit very well with the lined edges on the rest of the map, ditto the stumps.

Thanks for your comment, i thought about your opinion and found a new mode for the trees, because they are trees on the maps up, not just trunks, so i messed up with them.

From now i will use these tree and trunk models, i hope that they are more clear.

It's pretty cool to see the progress through these maps and the style changes you're making. These are solid illustrative maps.
One suggestion I could make would be to vary the background colour of your different height layers slightly just to clarify where the land rises.

Thank you for your suggestion! I tried it a few months ago and i think it is very good to do chasms and escarpments but for normal height difference it is too much or not easily undersandable.
