WIP "Emphyrio" by Jack Vance, new map for upcoming POD edition

Been away from this site, but I'm still doing maps. Here's a Jack Vance map. I did a few at my day job recently, too, a USGS ranch map and a bus route map.

This is the before and after. They publishers were not so happy with the old one and wanted something a little bit spiffier. I do think it's an improvement!

Whoa, no doubt! It looks more… well, like a map I'd want to look at. The original isn't really detailed enough to be necessary, the new one is.

Nice shading, although the background doesn't give an impression of which bits are city, and which parts are outside the city or parks.
