    Map Rathora (Commission)

A regional map I did for a gaming group as the birthday present for their GM, closely based on a sketch provided to me. I was informed there are many more locations in that region but I was only tasked to draw what's shown here, with the town names being the only labels I should do. Still, it was great fun, and I got to use those town/house brushes I had on my HDD for quite some time (I think Schwartzkreuz provided them probably a year or even longer in the past). Still haven't gotten around to trying out Inkscape...

Looks nice! Those forests are huge

Those towns look a lot like Ramah's brushes. Did someone else do more with them?

Thank you. Well, I suppose they aren't really that huge since this is just a regional map. Admittedly, I wasn't provided with a scale, but in my mind the map covers maybe an area of 150x150 miles.

So Ramah provided them? I wasn't sure, I thought they were part of that massive brush pack Schwarzkreutz provided some time ago? Or do I have some people mixed up? Anyway, I mixed them up, added a bit here, cut away a bit there to create a bit of variance.

You did a hell of a good mix! The cities are excellent. And lovely work with forests, indeed.
The thing I'm not fond of is the roads : a bit too similar to the rivers, it's a little confusing at first view.

Those forests .... wow! That must have taken ages. They look great though, so well worth the effort. I really like how you've shaded the lake to show different depths.

Could you post a link to the Schwarzkreutz brushes you are talking about?

Hey Cornelia, I'm afraid I don't have a link for them and the forum search appears to be broken for me. I found them on a long dig through the Mapping Elements subforum.

The broken forum search is why I asked, I couldn't find anything on them. If you do happen to run across them again, please keep me in mind and shoot me a PM

You can use the search function of Google: https://www.google.ca/search?q=brush...phersguild.com

Thank you, Azelor. I have the Ramah brushes, but I thought he was using some kind of expanded version that Schwarzkreutz had added. The Ramah towns and castles are absolutely awesome, but I see Wired's towns are more complex than the basic brushes, so I was hoping ....
