Help Need help with how to indicate cities on a continent map

    Hi all

I am making this map in GIMP and I need some help as to how I am going to be placing cities on it.

Is there any tutorial or brushes?

I have a pretty good idea as to where I want to place them is more a matter of how to indicate on the map in best possible way and it would not be a bad thing if it was pretty easy as well because there are many cities. And if anyone have a good idea that includes like a symbol/marker for a capitol, a city and a smaller city

Any help would be much appreciated.

Normally, just using a dot with the name of the city next to it should do the job.

Unless you want an atlas style, there are no real conventions. Logically, larger cities often have a larger dot and the capitals have something special on it like a star.

Most real world maps follow some common style... Capitals big dots with outline... etc.

    Thanks for the imput.

I do not know if I am using the castle font on this map but I am for sure going to use it on other maps covering a smaller area. So thanks a bunch for that

Any tips on labeling? What I am aiming for is whatever is most legible
