Feb / Mar '16 Lite Challenge: Map a Railway
This idea comes from the Challenge suggestions thread, specifically a post by Corilliant. Map a Railway
Participants map a fictional* railway route or network. Like our river challenge, make any kind of map you want, from futuristic to post-apocalyptic, from steampunk-themed to underground, from regional to pan-continental; but the focus must be upon the railway(s).
The Challenge will run until the 14th of March (more or less) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Shiny Silver Compass.
As usual, title your threads: " Feb / Mar 2016 Lite Challenge: << your title here >> "
Don't forget to put the hashtag ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map.
And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.
Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished.

Dang, I want to enter this one! Maybe I'll do it unofficially since I've reached my lite challenge quota.
Great idea - thanks Corilliant - I'd have loved to have entered this too! Maybe we should repeat this one for a main challenge contest later in the year?

I've been waiting for something to pique my interest so I could get back in the challenges. I'll admit, this one didn't do it for me. However, I'm gonna think on it a few days and see if I can come up with something anyway. I suppose that's the real challenge!
