Map Sanateh , a hand drawn map for my D&D campaign.

Hello, this is the map of Sanateh.

I made this map for my players in the D&D campaign I'm DMing.

I'm sorry for the low quality but I only own a very cheap phone with a cheap camera.

Also since It's hand drawn it doesn't look very polished.

If you have any advice or critique it would be very appreciated.

As tilt says, the photo quality doesn't hide the high quality of your drawing and you may say it's not that polished looking, but for a hand-drawn map, it does look very good indeed.

I bet it's very useful having a DM who has such intricate maps like this!

Thanks for all the praise , and for the welcome

I'm currently working on another map for my group. It's set in a jungle with mixed aztec-african cultures.
I'm having some trouble figuring out how to do the map in a stylized way as if it was done by those people.

I'll probably post a WIP thread soon about it

That's a nice map. The boldness to post it right away would be worth a smidgen of rep even if it weren't so well done.

Welcome ! We can learn from you while you learn from us - looking forward to seeing such work in progress one day.

i pick up cheap books, like for 50 cents or a dollar, at my local library all the time for this purpose. Just books on culture and history. even if they are crappy and not good sources of information, they are usually full of pictures for inspiration. Map looks great!

Welcome! Your map looks terrific. Don't feel like it's not polished enough. You're not the only one around here who draws by hand, and we ALL appreciate a well thought out, stylish, easy to read map. This one is all three!

I have no idea how to "polish" a black and white handdrawn map... but I'd say this map doesn't need any "polish". It is absolutely amazing just the way it is.

Very nice map! Your linework is excellent, and yeah, it just makes us to see more of your work (and in better resolution ).
