I really wish that the "Enable left button pre-selection" option wasn't there. It tends to give people the impression that you can do this:
1) Select item(s).
2) Directly manipulate control points to move, scale, rotate, etc. the selected entities as in most vector art programs.
Concept 2 doesn't really exist in CC3. There is another step in there that you have to perform to tell the system that you're done selecting things: You still have to right-click and then select "Do It". Just trying to use a command makes it seem like something should be happening, but it doesn't. So...
MOVE with standard CC3 operations:
1) MOVE command
2) Select item(s).
3) Right-click and "Do It".
MOVE with "Enable left button pre-selection" CC3 operations:
1) Select item(s).
2) Right-click and "Do It".
3) MOVE command
Not much more helpful, in my opinion. To make things more confusing, some popular commands like "Fractalize" don't respond to the "Enable left button pre-selection" operations AT ALL.
I've been told that if I'm willing to complain about it, I should be willing to fix it. I don't think that I will follow that advice in this case, though. I'll just hope that particular feature disappears without a trace from the documentation...
