I like the subtle mountains.
You always do such well done land shapes.
A just-for-fun map I did a while back and never got around to posting until now. I always try to give my maps a (somewhat) interesting mix of cultures, so this one has Indian/SEAsian-based Yangara, Gothic/Roman Kant and Beklos, central Asian Kambul, and various mixed stuff in the north. Naturally a lot of names are recycled from my other maps cause that's how I roll (and it's hard thinking up new names).
I wanted to try something very subtle, not just with coloring, but with land forms, so I used some brushes made from various mountains on Blaeu maps, toned the opacity way down, and kept the map really light on other features. I wanted most of the focus to be on names, but without the names being TOO overpowering. You'll have to be the judge as to whether I succeeded or not.
Hope you enjoy!

Really nice Diamond, color fits so good together and lettering is just right![]()

As always with your maps, i love the continental shapes. Very well done and pleasing to my eyes.
I am not fond of those mountains...they look more like hills to me. And i am a bit sad that we have no forest-symbol(s) at all.
As for the setting...i'd like to know more!
You know, one of these days i hope i can convince you to do a rpg setting collab with me!![]()

Yup, gorgeous land shapes, creative names (echoing sands, that's awaking ideas!) and a beautiful clean map with fun sea monsters. Love it.
Love this map Diamond. Beautiful land shapes, great color palette, great composition. Inspiring. Thanks for sharing it![]()
I'll add my compliments to the others. It's a gorgeous map, beautifully labelled, and I adore the colouring. Just fantastic all round.![]()

Very nice, I also really like the shape of the land and the coloring!
OOOh, we get to be judges? Ka-ching - you nailed it. I do love to see a well-populated world, and there's enough detail to leave me wishing I could read stories or peruse art placed in your setting.
