I would say very nicely indeed ! I would like to see a map covered in stuff like that. The lake edge is very abrupt like a mini cliff so it looks like the lake is a hole in the map . But the general idea and style is very pleasing.

The trees on the near side of the mountain are maybe a tiny bit sharp in comparison with everything else. It might just be a simultaneous contrast effect, though, since they're surrounded by lighter colors than the other trees.

I moved the lake on the other side of the ridge line. Also, those sharp trees do seem different from the softer clump to the northeast.

Very nice! I think it's all hanging together quite well. Loving the reflection in the lake!
