Map Eltri -- Fantasy Map Commission

    eltri_world_map_upload_by_stratomunchkin-dar6gdb.jpg

Map of a world floating in a void, done for a private client. For the land masses only lineart and shading was requested.

Eltri is a wild, untamed world, a dark, low magic fantasy setting like The Witcher. It's there to be explored by the client's RPG group, as such it comes without labels or specific locales. I provided the layered PSD file so that the client can fill in the blanks along the way as his group progresses through the world.

Ooh, very nice work Wired! I like the simple red, blue, black and white color scheme. The line-work looks solid. The simple gold border frames the image well. All in all an attractive piece!

    Cheers,

I added a slightly changed version. Or rather, the client and I did that together.

Great map ! I have a preference for the darker version, the forests are more intimidating this way. Everything is simple in your map, from border to lineart (definitely not linework) and palette and it makes the map very efficient. Congrats and rep is on the way

Nice job Wired. Really cool limited colour palette and I'm loving the vignetting look.

Have to say, I prefer the darker version too, but the client gets what the client wants.

    Wonderful map Wired.
I think I like the lighter version better, but the darker one definitely gives it a more evil feel.
The title seems in a bit of an awkward place to me, but I'm not sure if there's anywhere better to put it.
    Great job!

    Thank you, everybody.

Josiah, I concur on the title. It would work better if solely contrasted against the blue of the ocean, and with a slightly less elaborate font maybe.

A wonderful piece! Fantastic use of color. I prefer the darker version as well - I do love my dark maps

I especially love the effects on the coastlines!
